started on project. have chosen the theme of “mermaids and/or other fantastic anthropomorphic beings”. simple but classic. nothing’s easier than taking a photo of a beautiful woman and morphing it into something else, right?
first off, i didn’t want to fall back on the google approach right away. in fact, i wanted to be a super-keener, use a real model to take the photos myself. but on such short notice there was no way i could get a good model.
next i tried the library for inspiration. bad idea. what an obsolete institution. there may be tons of national geographic stories on “fish of the great barrier reef” or whatever, but good luck finding a decent-sized photo of an acceptable species of fish in the exact position you want, etc….besides if you haul a ton of books home then realize you haven’t got what you need you have to go back and risk possibly getting your bike run over while crossing burrard street, again.
so yeah, bottom line is, i went back home and googled “tasteful nude model”. now there’s a few sources of great quality, relatively hi-res photos for free. even still it takes a while of browsing before finding usable poses.

nevertheless, here’s one that i found of a girl with a tree. i’m gonna then get some photos of tree bark textures, to transform her into a nice forest nymph.

The best thing about your blog is that it does my homework for me.
And by homework, i mean looking for Hi Res female nudes. So awesome job Tania!
Btw, i love your idea for the forest nymph. I think the image you have has the potential to look really fantastic. Looking forward to seeing more.
