i’ve just spent about a hundred dollars re-re-re-bleaching my hair, and this is no laughing matter when you make $9/hr at starbucks (by the way i’m at the granville island one, please do visit). it has so much gunk in it that even after two shampoos this morning it still feels greasy. when wearing sunglasses people on the bus mistake me for the mother of small blond children. at work customers joke that it matches the green tea lemonade i’m serving.
but i’m determined to make it white. white like this page.

Closest I’ve gotten, having my hair white is dying my hair silver; lasts about 4 days before fading. Also’ve tried the lightest tone of ash brown; it’s pretty light too… faded in only a week though =(

another person who thinks white hair is sexy! i hope you can get it to be true white though, i’ve seen so many people with like that silver or really light blonde and saying it’s “white”…..

white hair is awesome. i think i may be influenced by the art of jason chan (www.jasonchanart.com), one of my favorite illustrators ever, cuz he always draws white-haired chicks. yes, it’d be a huge hassle. but hey, nothing that’s easy to get is ever worth having…..

we don’t secretly make fun of people with crazy requests, but we do hate them a little bit if they ask for a lot when there’s a big fat lineup behind them.

After reading Sputnik Sweetheart, I thought you got the idea for white hair from the character Mui (by the way, how do you pronounce her name? I wasn’t sure…)
